Dr. Raju Sarwal, a Board Certified ophthalmologist, the Assistant Medical Director, partner of Long Island Eye Surgical Care, P.C. who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Sarwal completed his undergraduate work at University of Pennsylvania in 1994 where he graduated magna cum laude. He completed his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in 1998 and his residency at University of Illinois at Chicago Eye and Ear Infirmary in 2002. Dr. Sarwal received his sub specialty training in glaucoma at the Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina in 2003.
Dr. Sarwal is currently the president of the Suffolk Ophthalmogy society. He is on faculty at Good Samaritan Hospital, Southside Hospital, and Long Island Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is a member of the American Glaucoma Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Medical Association.
Dr. Sarwal is a national speaker for ophthalmology and glaucoma to practicing physicians in the New York area. Dr. Sarwal has been named by Best Doctors of America every year since 2009.
