Stephen Morgenstern, O.D.

Stephen Morgenstern, M.D. Dr. Stephen Morgenstern, Board Certified Optometrist, graduated from the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy in 1961. He graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1970, then completing a residency in Vision Therapy at the Optometric Center of New York (SUNY College of Optometry). His Board Certification is from The College of Optometry and Vision Development in 1975.

He has a Functional Vision practice since 1970. He is the consulting Optometrist for the Mill Neck School for Deaf Children from 1994 to present. He was an assistant professor at Columbia University, Teachers College, Graduate Level Anatomy and Physiology of the Visual System from 1999-2003. Dr. Morgenstern was an examiner for the New York State Board of Examiners for Optometry form 1985-1998. He was a staff optometrist for the Association for the Help of Retarded Children, Suffolk County, 1973 to 1980. He served as an officer in the US Air Force at Karamursel Air Station, Turkey 1962-1965.

Dr. Morgenstern is the founder of the Visicare International Corporation, inventor and producer of binocular stereoscope fusion cards in use in specialist offices and schools internationally.

Dr Morgenstern joined Long Island Eye in 2009 and provides comprehensive eye care. He is available for appointments at our Sayville location
